The Case for the “HOLY DAYS”

Since there is neither Jew nor Gentile according to the scriptures, (Galatians 3:28) Then why have we not adopted the ways and laws that the Lord God gave as worship, instead of the ‘Pagan Holidays’ that we as believers observe today? Can someone show me where any of the Apostles / Priests (of The LORD GOD) and/ or servants who wrote scripture gave another set of days/seasons for worship other than that which is written in (Exodus 12:1-14,17-24, 13:3-10, 20:8.  Leviticus 23 1-14. Numbers 28: 16-18.  Deuteronomy 16. Joshua  5:10-12. 2 Chronicles 30,35. Ezekiel 45:21. Acts 2:1-4.  1 Corinthians 5:7…

 For those who believed it was changed when Paul wrote, Colossians 2:16, please continue reading all the way to verse 23. The Feasts/ Holy Days are not Salvation. They cannot SAVE YOU, nor are they to be worshipped. But rather to be worshipped on/in.  IT IS CHRIST that SAVES and CHRIST ALONE! The ‘naysayers’ have used this scripture for centuries to dispel its true intent, which was, that the new converts/ body of Christ, be not caught up in, or subjected to legalism, rituals, traditions, and bondage to symbolism from which they have been delivered from by Christ’s death and resurrection.

Colossians 2:16-23 Explained…as received by THE HOLY SPIRIT

v16-17…No one is to be judged by the keeping of the Holy Days, Feast Festivals, New Moons. Our salvation does not depend on these, It is Christ that saves. The feasts and holy days speak of Yeshua Christ, the arrival of the Holy Spirit, and Yeshua’s subsequent return back to earth to finish God’s plan.   Passover  (His death & resurrection. The blood had to be presented to Father God for the remission of our sins, once and for all) If Christ’s death and resurrection was the fulfillment of ALL, of the Feasts/Holy Days, why did The Holy Ghost, arrive 50 days after Yeshua’s death, on The Feast of Harvest, and not right after Christ’s ascension, or, better yet, at His resurrection? Why? Because the LORD GOD was following HIS order of times and seasons.

It is believed in many circles that Yeshua Christ was born around the Passover season (April/ May) ,and we know that he died (as The Passover Lamb) just before Passover.  And, The Holy Spirit came on the The Feast of Harvest. Therefore, why would Yeshua’s second coming not be in the season of The Feast of Trumphets/ Rosh Hashanah, If The LORD GOD followed a pattern since the exodus from Egypt with the keeping of His Holy days/& Feasts?  Will ‘HE’ break his patterns now, before all is fulfilled? No.

Passover, Feast of Unleaven Bread, and First Fruits occurred in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection leading up to the next feast/ holy day.  After Christ’s ascension, The Holy Spirit came, continuing God’s order, arriving on, The Feast of Harvest / Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). That’s why all those people were gathered in Jerusalem who were added to the body of Christ that day. (They were there for the Feast of Harvest).   Now there are three more left, Day of Trumphets, (Matt 24:31, 1Thessalonians 4:16) Day of Atonement (Acts 9:27), Feast of Tabenacles / Sukkot.(Revelation 20:4-5).   The blood sacrifices of the law ended with Christ’s death on the cross, not The Lord God’s ways and days of worship!

v18-19 Don’t let anyone make you feel less than worthy because you’re not indulging in self-righteousness, worshiping of Angels, and seeking visions. Not connected to GOD through Christ our savior who is our strenght and attachment.

The Sadducees, Pharisees, Essenes, and Stoics of that age believed in these types of behaviors. In this vein, those, not fully grounded in Christ, and the knowledge of The Holy Spirit could soon be entrapped again into the bondages of self-righteousness, believing one has to ‘earn’ their salvation.

v20-21 If you have died and risen with Christ (as you have professed) why would you seek to subject yourselves again, to the very things that you have been delivered from? I say to you (The Writer) In no way should you associate yourselves with them ever again!

v21-23 These behaviours are aligned with the doctrines of men, and not of God. Their seemingly self-righteous acts are vain and do nothing to clense you from SIN! They are just an outward show, pleasing the flesh, an exercise in futility!

The ritualistic, traditional, and symbolisms were done away with, not the ways in which we were to worship. If the days, times, and seasons were taken away, what did the  LORD GOD REPLACED THEM WITH?  WHERE ARE THEY IN SCRIPTURE?  Show me Sunday, Christmas, and Easter in the original Hebrew, or Aramaic text?  What was abolished at the cross was the sin, burnt, and guilt offerings, etc; as outlined in Leviticus chapters 1, 2, 3,4,5,6, and 7.  Further to this Leviticus 11,12,13,14, and 15 talks about ceremonial cleansings. These activities were abolished at the cross because of the blood that was shed at Calvary by Yeshua  Christ. This was for the remission of our sins once and for all. When we enter GOD’S throne we enter by the blood, because only the blood of CHRIST can cleanse us from sin, and only through Yeshua Christ can we come before God’s presence. When God looks at us, HE can only see us by the blood, and in the name of HIS son, our savior, Yeshua Christ. Freedom from the ceremonial laws given to Moses is not a freedom from worship on HIS holy days. 

 The Sabbath Day (Day of complete rest and worship. Exodus 8:20) The Passover (originally, commemorated for deliverance out of Egypt) Now, Christ, is our Passover Lamb (deliverance from sin, once and for all…) Feast of Unleavened Bread. (Cleansing from sin, repentance, renewal for seven days as a memorial) First Fruits (counting of the seven sabbaths, 49 days (about 1 and a half months), and then the 50^th day“Pentecost!” /The Feast of Harvest (The ingathering, the day the Holy Spirit came to us. HIS entrance to ,and upon mankind in His official capacity) These events have happened! There are three more to come. Trumpet’s (The second coming of Christ. The next major event!!!) Day of Atonement (The final atonement.  Salvation is complete.) Feasts of Tabernacle’s (The seventh day reign with Christ in His Father’s Kingdom. The Millenium/ Thousand year reign of Christ). This is the completion of God’s plan with man here on earth.

Four of the seven Holy Days have been completed, three more are left. Until HE ,Christs’ comes through them,  the promises/order of The Lord God lay incomplete; And we know that The Lord God will complete what HE started, finish what HE promised!

There are those who contend that the ‘Sabbath day’ given in the Ten Commandments is separate from the Sabbath days of the Feasts in its meaning. If so, then why would the Lord God, say at the end and the beginning of certain feasts that these days shall be Sabbaths for you?  In the Ten Commandments, God said, “Remember the “Sabbath Day and keep it Holy…” correct?  Then if the main Sabbath of the Ten Commandments was meant to be Holy and UNCHANGEABLE! (Exodus 20:8) then how come the instructions for the Sabbath(s) attached to the Feasts / Holy days, be less holy or applicable, if the same was intended for them, as was intended for the primary Sabbath?  Let’s look a little deeper,  isn’t the overriding intent, refrain from doing regular work,  Honor ME, Keep it holy, the same throughout all the Sabbaths of the Feasts? So why would The Lord God be selective or double talk in HIS instructions?  He gave us the primary Sabbath Day (Exodus 20:8), at the end of the work week. Then after the Ten Commandments, Sabbath, HE gave the HOLY DAYS / FEASTS for us to keep, these also have, Sabbaths. (Leviticus 23:1-14)

Furthermore,  we know that the Roman Catholics instituted Easter (Constantine’s edict of Milan 321-24 AD / Council of Nicea 325 AD). We know that Christmas is the season of worship to pagan god(s). And, Sunday is the first day of the week, not the Seventh-day worship. Yet we worship and reverent these days and seasons as if, given by the Lord God Himself.

Passover by The Spirit

When Christ said to the disciples, “When you do this do it in remembrance of Me!” (Luke 22:19)  He did not change the day/season.  HE changed the meaning. No longer, celebrating the exodus out of Egypt, but now, salvation through Christ! His death, burial, and resurrection happened when?  Right at the time of the regular ritual Passover and Un-leaven bread observance. Why did GOD pick this time? Why would Christ die at the very same time, of the observance of the Lamb that was slain for the exodus from Egypt. “Those lambs that were slain, and the blood applied over the windows and door post was for their escape from Egypt in that season! The blood of Yeshua Christ, that was shed because of His death on Calvary, was and is for ALL times and seasons!” The Lord God was changing the MEANING of the observance not the day/ or seasons? Again, If HE changed the times / day / season.  Where are the new ones written? There are no new days or seasons or festivals!  Please, ask The Holy Spirit to reveal this to you, as He has done for so many.

Today, we have changed it to the ‘Lords Supper’. May I suggest that The Lord God never changed the wording. It was ‘those’ who sought to change the times and seasons. The same ‘ones’ who sought to change the feasts /and Holy days.  Christs’ was admonishing them to “remember ME” now as your passover Lamb. ‘When (At Passover) you do this, do it in remembrance of ME!”  Not when we feel like, or as we “The Church” think they ought to do it! Usage of the word, “When”  was not a license to change the order of the event! And, the Passover is sacred and should not be mixed with the abomination called, easter! Matthew 13:24-30

Are the Holy Days/Feasts Important…

Is our birth-day(s) ,wedding day(s) ,anniversaries ,baptisms ,deaths etc., important? If so, then, don’t you think The Lord God’s holy days that ‘HE’ gave are important to Him? Furthermore, do you think that ‘HE’  wouldn’t care if we replaced His ways / Holy Days with satanic ritualistic worship days? Okay, you get where I’m going with this…

For centuries we have worshiped on Sunday (in placed of the Sabbath Day), Easter, and Christmas. And, there have also been those, over the centuries, who have been calling for the return to HIS Original Ways of Worship.  Were they wrong?  Why haven’t we given up? Surely, since the body of Christ as a whole won’t consider this change, we should just put an end to it, right? Well…we can’t, “A lie cannot live”. (Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr)

As a former worshiper on Sunday and Easter, and an observer of Christmas for decades, the truth was revealed to me late 1999, early 2000.  But, it didn’t come easy, I resisted for months. However, I sought The Lord God, and ‘HE’ The Holy Spirit lead me to the truth.  (Jerimiah 29:12-14, 33: 3). From that day to this I have never once regretted making this change!

Is the aforementioned, meant to argue or debate the law(s), coerce or persuade? No. I am just another messenger of The Truth, who has joined the centurie(s) old message that HIS WAYS of worship, HIS holy days/ Feasts/& Sabbaths never changed.  Amen!
